The Government of India has signed an Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) with France for the acquisition of 26 Rafale-Marine aircraft for the Indian Navy. Beyond a defence procurement event, this development is a game-changer for India's indigenous aerospace and defence manufacturing ecosystem, reinforcing the pillars of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and catalyzing robust long-term economic and sectoral growth.
Procurement Details: 22 Single-Seater + 4 Twin-Seater Rafale-Marine Aircraft.
Package Includes: Aircraft, training modules, simulators, weapons, associated equipment, and performance-based logistics.
Localization Strategy: Transfer of Technology (ToT) for indigenous integration, fuselage production facilities, and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hubs for engines, sensors, and weapons.
